We had the opportunity to visit Palm Springs this past weekend and stay at the Elrod House. We were impressed and hope to upgrade to something like this when we buy our fourth home.

After riding the 525 Kilometers in six days, we finally arrived at Crescent Head.

We had a lovely week of rest and relaxation. I never thought I would be so happy for a roof over my head and a washing machine.

This is Ju on the morning of our arrival. We put together our bikes and rode 2k's to our hotel.

Living in Lennox Head for the next 2 weeks. We have a unit on the beach. Haven't surfed yet as Ian has had delaminated ankles and the surf has been both tiny and then huge this last week. We went for a unsuccessful surf chase today and then rode up the beach a ways on the unloaded bikes.

Our first day should go like this.
Arrive early morning.
Put bikes together at the airport.
Train to Circular Quay.
30 minutes on ferry to Manly.
Ride 30k to Palm Beach.
30 minutes on ferry to Ettalong.
Ride 37k to The Entrance.
Find someplace to sleep and then go eat a roast dinner at the bowling club. Roast beef, potatoes, gravy, mmm. Or maybe a steak with chips. Ice cream. VB.

This is what my bike looks like loaded. It rides quite nice with the extra 35 pounds of gear on it. The two bags on the handlebars are empty as of now. I still haven't packed all the little things, like cameras and contact lenses, so I expect to add ~5 pounds more in electronics and toiletries. That's my surfmat and fins on top of the tent on the back rack. I expect to get a lot of chances to ride it in new places as we'll be moving a bit slower along the coast and not just driving 100kph towards the next surfspot we already know about. http://www.surfmat.com/

Christmas break in LA involved a lot of swimming for Julianne and I this year. Lot's of bodysurfing, a little boogieboarding, and a few days on the surfboard. Here's two photos of our animal friends who visit us in the water.
